We’re looking for a senior 3D Character Artist to join our fully remote boutique videogame studio.

Contracted · Remote · 4 Day Week · 12 Months

What you’ll do

  • Create high-quality, stylised 3D characters and assets that meet quality standards

  • Work from screenplays and storyboards to produce character designs from conception through to final in-game models

  • Drive the creation of all characters, costumes, and creatures for the game

  • Participate in the team evaluation and feedback process, providing expert guidance and critiques to enhance artistic elements of the game

  • Help plan out asset lists and work with the producer to estimate related tasks

  • Commit to fostering an inclusive and supportive creative culture in a diverse studio

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven experience working in a character art role in videogame development evidenced by a portfolio showcasing 3D character art

  • Exceptional visual and technical understanding of 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing

  • Proficient and comfortable using the Unity game engine

  • Experience creating high-quality, stylised character assets for Unity and setting up models, textures and materials in engine

  • Excellent creative collaboration, presentation, and teamwork skills

  • Empathetic and collaborative team player with a positive and open communication style

Must-haves

  • Comfortable working alongside GMT (London) time zone (offset by less than 6 hours)

  • Good home setup with necessary hardware

Nice-to-haves

  • Based in the UK (or EEA)

  • Prior experience delivering a 3D first-person title

  • Skilled in, familiar with or curious about other artistic disciplines - concept, tech art, lighting etc.
